Worldwide 400 million people, of this in Hungary approx. 700,000 people use the largest business social network, LinkedIn. LinkedIn says: the 90% of the top managers can no longer be reached by phone, by cold calling, but by a LinkedIn message.

Appearing on LinkedIn is almost mandatory, almost it's like that important, like a company website, provides a much more flexible communication interface.

Below, let's look at 10 things that we can lose if we do not have a company LinkedIn page, i.e. our company is not present on LinkedIn.

  1. A good (better) reputation, which would give us a demanding and maintained LinkedIn company profile. With a lot of information that we want to show about our company and ourselves.

  2. Followers. That is, people who have expressed their interest in our company. This is valuable in several ways. One is that we can "use" these people, and the other is that the number of followers we have has PR value in itself. Having thousands of people follow us gives confidence to a person who doesn't know us yet.

  3. An interface where we reach our target group, the people who are interested in our product and service. We can be in constant contact with them, share news on our site, and write articles for them. All this completely free of charge.

  4. A different kind of advertising opportunity. We can place an ad on LinkedIn on behalf of our company. We can set who we want to reach with it, we can filter by geographical area (this is not yet mature for Hungary), interests, fields of expertise, educational qualifications, but also by position and rank. We can create a much more specialized professional advertisement this way.

  5. Expanding interested parties (follower) circle. If someone can use LinkedIn creatively, share interesting and useful content, the circle of followers will expand.

  6. More visitor the corporate to website. We can share links on our LinkedIn page. If e.g. we write a professional blog, we can share every new post on LinkedIn, from where you can click through to our website.

  7. Our followers by generated (free) traffic. If we share something and one of our followers likes it, comments on it or shares it, their friends will also see it.

  8. Made it easy HR functions. If we are looking for staff, we can share it on our LinkedIn page. We don't have to introduce our company to the people there, since they already know us and because of our followers, they have a good opinion of us.

  9. LinkedIn groups. These are groups of people who are interested in a particular topic.

  10. An advantage… against companies that are not yet on LinkedIn.
